Front Porch Apologetics | Mormonism

Is Mormonism simply another Christian denomination, or are there important differences between what Mormonism teaches and what the Bible teaches?

In this episode of the Family Style Podcast, we continue our apologetics series with a conversation about Mormonism and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We look at some of its history and teachings and compare those beliefs with Scripture.

Our goal isn't to attack or belittle people who hold different beliefs. We want to understand what they believe, know what the Bible teaches, and be better equipped to have loving, respectful, and truthful conversations about Jesus and the gospel.

Why do these differences matter? Who is Jesus? Who is God? What is the gospel? What does the Bible teach about salvation? And how should a Christian respond when a Mormon friend, family member, or missionary wants to talk about faith?

Ultimately, apologetics isn't about winning an argument. It's about knowing what we believe, why we believe it, and being ready to share the truth of Jesus with grace and love.

“...always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear.” — 1 Peter 3:15
