Are  you a widow or other person in need? Do you need help with minor home repairs or maintenance?

Carpenter’s Care is a ministry of Calvary Chapel Palm Harbor that seeks to provide widows and other persons in need, within our congregation, with practical, general home maintenance and repair services.

This ministry is generally intended for widows within the Calvary Chapel Palm Harbor fellowship. However, we are also happy to serve older gentlemen and families that are no longer able to make small repairs on their homes.

Services We Provide

  • Yard cleanup, especially after storms
  • Hang curtains, mirrors, pictures
  • Small wall patch and paint projects
  • Caulking small cracks
  • Minor plumbing leaks, outside the wall
  • Minor carpentry work
  • Furniture assembly/disassembly

Services We Can’t Provide

  • Major electrical, plumbing, or HVAC work (nothing “behind the wall”)
  • Roof repair or second floor gutter cleaning
  • Foundation repair
  • Appliance installation or removal
  • Ongoing, repeat tasks like mowing
  • Major (whole room, whole house) painting
Think of the things that your husband would have done, for which you did not have to call a specialized contractor. If something that you need done is not on this list, but is also not on the “cannot provide” list, it doesn't hurt to ask!

Looking to volunteer for the ministry?

Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world. - James 1:27

We are seeking men from Calvary Chapel Palm Harbor to come alongside this ministry and volunteer their time and skills. If you can swing a hammer, caulk a crack, or even just carry a 2x4 from a truck to a widow’s house, you are qualified!

If you have any spare time to serve the church, even an evening here or there, or a Saturday once in a while, we can use your help! We hope to have a large number of men on the team, so no one individual has to handle a lot of requests.
