ANCHORED IN HOPE

This year, we will explore what it means to be anchored in Christ. We look forward to our annual retreat at Camp Kulaqua in High Springs, Florida! This is a beautiful way to rest in the Lord. We will gather together to share in God’s Word, worship, prayer, and fellowship.

REGISTRATION OPENS JANUARY 5TH.

RETREAT HIGHLIGHTS

The weekend begins with the first session at 6 PM on Friday night and concludes at noon on Sunday.

The theme, Anchored in Hope. is based on Hebrews 6:19. With messages from church leaders and time in small group discussions, participants may consider how to apply these key truths to times of trouble and unexpected turns:
* Living secure in our blessed hope, which is an anchor for our soul
* Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith
* Holding fast to our hope in Christ, because He who promised is faithful
* Being vigilant to not drift from the truth that we have heard
The schedule includes free time on Saturday afternoon to either participate in various group activities (trail walk, Nature Center visit, crafting, puzzles, and games) or spend time individually enjoying the beautiful rural setting. There will be time for prayer, both organized and spontaneous, and multiple opportunities to lift our voices together in worship.

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE

Check-in for the retreat will be at the Lodges on Friday from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and our first session begins at 6:00 PM. We will have volunteers outside the Dogwood Lodge who can tell you which lodge you will be staying in. If you know that you will arrive after 6:00, please ask someone from your group to find out your room number and pick up your gift bag. If you unexpectedly arrive late, no worries. We will find you!

Please be sure that you have enjoyed dinner on your way to the retreat, as an evening meal on Friday is not included.

On Sunday morning, you will need to remove your belongings from your room before 11 AM. You will have plenty of time to do that! Breakfast on Sunday is 8:30-9:30 and the morning session begins at 10:00 AM.

LAST MIN PACKING IDEAS

Clothes/shoes for rain or cool weather? Favorite pillow or blankie? Your Bible of course! Personal snacks or drinks (we will have coffee, tea and plenty of water, as well as a nice collection of snacks in each lodge). Personal water jugs or coffee cup.....but they must have a lid!

ACCOMMODATIONS

Rooms will be booked with four women per room. One bed is an upper bunkbed. Please notify us at the time of registration if you need an ADA Compliant bathroom (limited availability). Roommate requests will be handled by the individual churches.

MEALS

Four catered meals (Three on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday). NO meal offered Friday night, so please plan ahead. A small refrigerator is in each room. You may bring a small cooler but please be aware that ice is not available on site. There is a grocery nearby. There will be coffee and snacks provided as well.

Gluten-Free options will be available.

WHAT TO WEAR

We will be eating our meals in the outdoor Picnic Pavilion, and there is a modest walk from the rooms to the meeting site. So, please watch the weather forecast and bring clothing appropriate for inclement weather.

GETTING THERE

For those coming from Pinellas and Pasco Counties, be aware that the drive is never less than 3 hours, and will be longer if there is unexpected construction or traffic delays. Consult your favorite map apps now, the night before, the morning of the drive, and during the drive! Based on doing this so many times, our advice is this: make the journey the beginning of fellowship! Ride together, leave early, crank up the worship music, and find a wonderful place to stop (shop/eat/take a walk) on the way.

For those coming from more northern counties, also use your map apps to give you good counsel.
